Psychiatric research plays a critical role in improving quality of life for current and future generations. Research & evaluation form an integral part of The Marian Centre's commitment to providing top quality care. By engaging in research, The Marian Centre seeks to improve understanding of the factors that maintain mental health problems. The Marian Centre peruses research initiatives that are designed not only to improve service delivery within the hospital, but will contribute nationally and internationally to psychiatry and clinical psychology knowledge.
The research program at The Marian Centre is chaired by the Research Director (Dr Melissa J Ree) and all interested mental health professionals on staff are encouraged to contribute. In addition to the research opportunities that exist within The Marian Centre, collaborative research projects have been set up with the public and academic sector both in WA and interstate.
The Marian Centre is able to support appropriate Clinical Psychology student placements. For more information on research at The Marian Centre, e-mail mree@themariancentre.com.au
