Visiting Hours

Week days 16:30 to 21:30.
Weekends and public holidays 07:30 to 09:00 and 12noon to 21:30.

These times have been established to allow the patient to make the best use of the available treatments and management programs. When visiting a patient please use the sign-in in book located at reception. This will allow our staff to implement correct emergency procedures (e.g. for fire), if necessary.

It is expected that visitors will leave the centre by 9pm. This is so night staff can allow the patients to organise themselves for sleep.

Boarders - The Marian Centre does not encourage boarders to stay at the Centre. This is to allow the patient to get sufficient rest and participate in the full range of treatments.

Length of Stay - The time a patient will be in hospital will very much depend on the severity, type and nature of the illness.

We will often encourage patients to return to their carers and supporters to make sure there is no loss of these links. In this way, the carers and supporters become an important part of the patient's management and recovery.
