A unique collaboration in WA
A new innovative education program has been launched by The Marian Centre. This is aimed at increasing access to mental health training for undergraduate students. It is a unique collaboration involving with the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging (DOHA) and all five Western Australian Universities (Notre Dame, ECU, UWA, Curtin and Murdoch). The program aims to positively promote Mental Health and enhance practical skills in Medical, Nursing and Occupational Therapy students. It has received strong support from the Commissioner of Mental Health, who praised attempts to improve awareness and delivery of care in the mental health sector.
